need to know. 1) Your photo needs to be clear and crisp... 2) So does your pet... You want contrast with their background. 3) You want them standing looking like they would look outside, LOST. 4) No doll clothes, no hats, no scarves unless they wear them ALL the time.
People will focus on that and see it's not there and figure its another pet and
not yours. 5) Don't have them all curled up on the bed looking cute where you can't see
their tail and their legs and their stance... The neighbors are NOT going to see
them on the bed. 6) If you are using Plan E with the Black & White Photos and 1000 Cards. The
photos are smaller... You need an exceptionally HIGH CONTRAST pet or unusual
lines to have these turn out well. The photos are smaller about 1/2 to 3/4 and
inch by 1/2 to 3/4 an inch. If you do not have a black and white photo we will
TRY to convert your picture from color to grey scales..It doesn't always work
well... We'll do our best... 7) If you are using the color cards...the photo appears much larger and of
course is in color. We crop for just the pet and some background for contrast
depending on the pets coloring. (White gets lost on the card) The image here can
run from 3/4 inch to 1- 1/2 inches by 3/4 to 1-1/2 inches high depending. HOW TO SEND YOUR PHOTO It is
preferable that you or a friend E-Mails your pet's photo to us.... Why ? 1) We
need to work with it.... 2) the contract printer can't start doing layouts until
we get it to them.. .We can't get it to them until after WE get it. IMAGE SIZE For any of these your image should be at least 300
DPI (That's Dots per Inch) for the image sizes of each card choice...If the pet
in the picture is smaller then the dimensions given above and WE have to make
him/her bigger they become much less clear and defined... It's like looking at
newspaper photos with a magnifying glass. If you are using Plan E with the Black & White Photos and 1000

a "JPG" file format. If Your program does not do JPG's send it as a "GIF"
attachment. PLEASE, Make sure you say Pet Alert Photo in your
subject line so we don't think it is just more SPAM and toss it. FILE SIZE & PHOTOS VERSUS PRINTING
PROCESS ...Do NOT SHRINK the file since with many programs that causes a loss of
resolution (clarity). What you see on your screen is at 72 DPI so it may look
great.. On a professional 4 color process printing press your pet photo will NOT
LOOK THE SAME. First they print the black fur, then they print the white fur,
then they .... (get the picture) ??? Scanning Your Photo..? If you
don't have a good scanner we will scan your high contrast regular photo for you
for an additional $ 10 charge at high enough resolution to improve the accuracy
of your pet's photo on the cards. Click on the scan photo charge on the order
